This glossary of terms intends to provide the TESDA key players, partners, and stakeholders an online and updated TVET information, concepts, to bring common understanding and clarification on the use of TESDA terminologies.

Lifeboat Job
is one that is available, unlikely to go away, and pays enough to provide some shelter until the crisis is past.

Lifelong Learning
refers to all learning activities whether formal, non-formal or informal, undertaken throughout life, which result in improving knowledge, know-how, skills, competencies and/or qualifications for personal, social and/or professional reasons

Likelihood
chance of something happening; defined based on historical data or frequency over a given period of time.

Literacy
defined as the ability to read and write.

Literacy Rate
percentage of the population who can read and write and understand simple messages in any language or dialect.

Literacy Training Service (LTS)
is a program designed to train students to become teachers of literacy and numeracy skills to school children, out of school youth, and other segments of society in need of their service.

Live Feed
refers to the broadcast of sound or video over the internet from a live (not recorded) source.

Live Streaming
refers to the delivery of video and/or audio data to an audience over the Internet simultaneously recorded and broadcast it in real-time as the data is created.

Livelihood
refers to any kind of legitimate economic activity that will serve as a source of viable employment options to generate income among the low-income groups.

Livelihood Program
a socio-economic project that seeks to motivate, prepare, and train workers to embark on income-generating and service-oriented activities geared towards promoting self-sufficiency and initiative among the workers.
