The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Region XII will allot around 15,000 scholarship slots for 2022.
According to TESDA XII Regional Director Rafael Abrogar II, the said scholarship slots will be centered in the sectors of agriculture, construction, and tourism which are vital for post-pandemic economic recovery.
“Ito ang ating tugon sa pagbangon mula sa pandemya” Abrogar said, adding that the scholarship slots may be increased up to 20,000.
With this, Abrogar encouraged aspiring scholars to register to the nearest TESDA Provincial Office in the region to avail the skills training programs.
“Lahat pwede sa programa, kahit PWD ka, former rebel, IP member, person deprived of liberty, o kahit anu man ang estabo sa buhay pwede sa programa ng TESDA” Abrogar added.
Meanwhile, a total of 30 drug dependents at Balay Silangan Reformatory Center in South Cotabato have undergone training on Bread and Pastry Production NC II.
With TESDA’s guiding principle, “TESDA Abot Lahat,” the agency continues to go to far-flung areas to provide skills training and livelihood programs to Filipinos. ###
