Making its language proficiency programs more accessible, a total of 72 residents of Marinduque province have finished various language training programs from the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).

TESDA’s National Language Skills Center (NLSC), in partnership with the Provincial Government of Marinduque, held the Closing Ceremony for the Language and Culture Training Programs last October 4, at the Governor's Hall of the Capitol Compound in Boac, Marinduque.

This language training program is designed to enhance the skills of individuals from the Province of Marinduque, equipping them with essential competencies to become globally competitive and qualified for employment opportunities.

Further, the program is a key priority of the Provincial Government of Marinduque as it aligns with its plans for the Marinduque Economic Zone.

TESDA Director General, Secretary Jose Francisco “Kiko” B. Benitez emphasized that its language and culture training programs serve as a vital component of the agency’s broader mission to provide technical vocational education and training (TVET) that responds to the growing demands of global industries.

“Our language programs are designed not only to provide language proficiency but also to deepen participants' cultural understanding, which is essential for international employment opportunities,” Secretary Benitez said.

The Marinduque graduates received their Training Certificates for English, Korean, Japanese, and Spanish Language Programs, along with their training allowances.

Likewise, the TESDA chief thanked the Provincial Government of Marinduque for its commitment to inclusive and quality training programs that contribute to the economic empowerment of individuals and communities.
