To make its language proficiency programs more accessible, the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) is conducting various language and culture training programs in Antique and Marinduque.

TESDA, through the National Language Skills Center (NLSC), is holding face-to-face training programs in Basic Korean Language and Culture, and English Proficiency for Customer Service Workers in Pandan, Antique. An online English Proficiency for Customer Service Workers training will be conducted in Marinduque.

A total of 100 trainees in Antique and Marinduque will undergo the said training from October 3 to 17, and from October 6 to November 13, respectively.

According to TESDA Secretary Suharto T. Mangudadatu, the training will not only upskill the beneficiaries but also help them gain confidence in speaking and using the language which they can use to give them an edge when applying for work once they graduate.

“TESDA, through the NLSC, commits to respond and address the industry requirements of language proficiency by providing high-quality language skills training for job-ready Filipino workers to immerse themselves in the culture and new environment of their workplace,” the Secretary said in a statement.

Further, the conduct of various language training programs in the provinces will ensure a wider scope of the delivery of language training programs.

“The NLSC would like to capacitate the local government units (LGUs), TESDA Regional and Provincial Offices by providing assistance in the training delivery of the language programs in the regions,” Secretary Mangudadatu shared.

Aside from Basic Korean Language and Culture, and English Proficiency for Customer Service Workers, the NLSC also offers Spanish Language for Different Vocations, Japanese Language and Culture, and Japanese Language and Culture Level II.
