Information system analysts and information technology officers from DICT's Incident Response Team led the discussions.
TESDA Secretary/Director General Suharto Mangudadatu acknowledges that cybersecurity threats and data breaches are on the rise, impacting businesses, governments, and individuals alike hence, the need to capacitate the agency’s personnel to encourage cyber resilience.
“Organizing this program on cybersecurity awareness and orientation for all the TESDA officials and employees is a continuous journey, not a destination. It is an ongoing commitment to staying informed about the latest threats and best practices. As we navigate our digital world, remember that each of us plays a vital role in creating a secure and resilient cyber environment,” Secretary Mangudadatu said.
“By fostering cybersecurity awareness and working together, we can protect ourselves, our organizations, and the broader digital ecosystem from the ever-evolving cyber threats. Thus, the TESDA officials and employees are directed to adhere to the policies, and keep abreast with and consistently learn the dynamics of the internet, data, and security,” the secretary added.
The Cybersecurity and Data Privacy Act Awareness and Orientation Program by TESDA is a proactive initiative aimed at equipping organizations and individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to protect sensitive data and digital assets in an increasingly interconnected world.
