The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) has tapped more industry partners and tech-voc stakeholders for the conduct of the 2023 Philippine National Skills Competition (PNSC).
Over 20 partners have signified their support to TESDA’s week-long national skills competition which is set to kick off on March 27, in which over 150 competitors nationwide will compete in 18 skill areas.
TESDA Director General Danilo P. Cruz said that partnerships with the public and private sector is vital, not just for the conduct of the 2023 PNSC, but also in the overall implementation of tech-voc training in the country.
aThe Lyceum of the Philippines University – Batangas will provide a venue, equipment, and tools for the Cooking skills area; FESTO will provide the venue and equipment for the conduct of the Mechatronics skill area and will train its winners; Toyota Motor Philippines School of Technology, Inc. will provide the venue, tools, equipment, engines, and cars for the Automobile Technology skill area; and Mineski Global will provide the venue and live streaming equipment to be used by the 3D Digital Game Art skill area.
Likewise, Siemens will provide equipment such as programmable logic circuits for the Mechatronics skill area; Goldtown will also provide equipment for the Welding skill area; and Makati Development Corporation will provide the venue for the conduct of Electrical Installations and Mechanical Engineering CAD skill area.
Meanwhile, other partners are WACOM, Game Developer Association of the Philippines (GDAP), Solid Video Corporation, Adobe, Sumitomo Corporation, Samsung, LG, Huawei, Hexatronics, Daikin, Bayleaf Hotel, Mechatronics and Robotics Society of the Philippines, FELTA, Light Rail Manila Corporation, the Philippine Welding Society, Meralco, and David’s Salon.
“We are grateful to these partners. Their assistance in the conduct of the 2023 PNSC shall help in the smooth implementation of the skills competition,” said DG Cruz, noting that private stakeholders have been helpful to TESDA in the implementation of tech-voc training.
