The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) warns the public against the unauthorized use of the name of the agency’s Director General, Danilo P. Cruz or any of its officials to solicit money for its programs and services.
TESDA learned that unscrupulous individuals using a certain mobile number were able to convince an unsuspecting member of the public to send PhP 25,000 to a GCash account in exchange for TESDA skills training.
TESDA has already reported this fraudulent transaction with the National Bureau of Investigation, National Telecommunications Commission, and the National Privacy Commission for immediate investigation and proper sanctions.
TESDA further advises the public to remain vigilant and report similar fraudulent activities through contactcenter@tesda.gov.ph and 8887-7777. (30)
