Scholars under the Special Training for Employment Program (STEP) in Davao de Oro received their toolkits after completing their training programs.
TESDA Davao de Oro distributed toolkits to thirty-five STEP scholars on Animal Production (Poultry-Chicken) NC II and Support Agronomic Crop Work (Leading to ACP NC I) in Barangay Cabuyoan, Municipality of Mabini and Barangay New Visayas, Municipality of Montevista.
On the other hand, fifteen STEP scholars from the Municipality of Laak has also received their starter toolkits on Cookery NC II.
Provincial Director Jasmin Neri led the distribution ceremony, together with the representatives from the Office of Provincial Governor Jayvee Tyron Uy. Also present during the ceremony were representatives from the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), the Community Training for Employment Coordinator (CTEC) and from the 60th Infantry Batallion who also provided assistance during the training.
The scholars expressed their gratitude for the toolkits, saying it will greatly contribute in putting up their own livelihood.
