The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Region III had received shoes and alcogel hand sanitizers from SM Foundation Inc. (SMFI) which will be distributed to typhoon-hit Siargao Islands.

Last January 31, TESDA Region III Regional Director Balmyrson Valdez and TESDA Pampanga Provincial Director Eric Ueda attended the turn-over ceremony of donated shoes and alcogel hand sanitizers at SM Downtown, San Fernando, Pampanga.

SM Foundation Inc. (SMFI) donated 4,758 pairs of shoes and 346 pieces of alcogel hand sanitizers.

According to TESDA Region III, the donations will be distributed to areas within the locality of Siargao which were affected by the Typhoon Odette and to the adopted barangays of TESDA Region III, particularly in geographically isolated and disadvantage areas.

These donations were made possible through TESDA’s continuous partnership with SMFI led by. Cristie Angeles, AVP for Livelihood and Outreach Programs together with Rain Cervantes, Reynold Gomez, Carol Uaje and Joanne Bernardino.

TESDA and SMFI have been collaborating in providing quality TVET programs to Filipinos. Last November 19, both have entered an agreement for the Apprenticeship Program under the Enterprise-Based Training for the qualification Customer Services NC II. ###
