The Provincial Training Center of Davao del Sur – Digos City, in partnership with Davao del Sur Police Provincial Office (DSPPO) held a Livelihood Skills Training for women and LGBTQ members on November 18 and 19 at Barangay Gymnasium Zone 3 in Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur. 

The two-day training program is under the Project Juana which was participated by fifty beneficiaries coming from the Sta. Cruz chapter of the Kapisanan ng mga Babae Laban sa Krimen (KABALAK) and the Lesbian and Gay Anti-Crime Organization (LEGA-ACRO). The training was supervised by PTC Administrator Fausto Barrete, Jr., vocational training supervisor / senior TESD specialist Marlyn Inez and DSPPO Officer-in-Charge Guisseppe Geralde.  The programs and their respective trainers include Basic Financial Literacy by Jerazel Suad; Gender and Development by Adelaida Badilla, registered social worker from the Department of Social Welfare and Development; Sugar Concentration leading to Food Processing NC II by Rosemarie Diez and Prepare and Cook Hot Meal Leading To Cookery NC II by Carlito Paulo, Jr.  

Project Juana is a joint effort project between TESDA and the Philippine National Police that aims to empower women and LGBTQIA+ sector. The project mainly focuses on crime prevention information and education but not limited to Anti-Violence against Women, Safe Space Act, and programs on Anti -Insurgency and Livelihood.
