The TESDA Provincial Office in Occidental Mindoro held a closing ceremony for the “LIGHT FOR PEACE” Project for trainees in Barangay Cabacao, Municipality of Abra de Ilog who have completed the Assembly of Solar Lamp and Produce Organic Concoctions.  
The event was conducted on November 23 where sixty-eight indigenous peoples (IPs) were declared graduates from the skills training programs that were held from November 4-15 and 23. Of this, 43 have completed the Assembly of Solar Lamp and 25 finished Produce Organic Concoctions and Extracts. TESDA Acting Provincial Director Rosalina Reyes, together with Barangay Chairman Rochie Gutierrez, Municipal Social Welfare Development (Abra de Ilog) officer Elonie Ebora and other officials of TESDA and the Barangay were present during the event. 
TESDA acknowledged the support of Abra de Ilog Mayor Eric Constantino for providing meals during the training and the ceremony as well as the barangay officials for the venue and other technical assistance during the sessions. 
The LIGHT FOR PEACE, which stands for Livelihood and learning Interventions to GIDAs and Highly-vulnerable Tribes for Peace, Empowerment in the Armed Conflict Communities and Environs, is a project of Poverty Reduction, Livelihood and Employment Cluster (PRLEC). The PRLEC is one of the efforts of the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) and is headed by TESDA. Barangay Cabacao is one of the nine barangays in Occidental Mindoro that are included in the listed 822 priority barangays under the NTF-ELCAC 70. 
The graduates expressed their gratitude to TESDA for the training programs, saying their newfound skills will truly help improve their lives.
