TAGUIG CITY – Residents of Pasay and Makati now have their own training and assessment center in Pasay-Makati (PasMak) District Office located here inside the TESDA Complex.

It was after TESDA Director General, Secretary Isidro Lapeña led the launching and blessing of Pasay-Makati District Training and Assessment Center (PMDTAC) on Monday morning together with TESDA Deputy Director General for Operations Lina Sarmiento, TESDA-National Capital Region Regional Director Florencio Sunico, Jr., TESDA PasMak District Director Juliet Orozco, some members of the TESDA-NCR Executive Committee, TESDA trainers, and TESDA scholars.

"Before, our TESDA scholars from Pasay and Makati go to MunTiParLasTaPat District Office when they are enrolling for training. So, it is just appropriate that PasMak District Office has its own training and assessment center," Lapeña said.

Apart from skills training and retooling, the TESDA Chief also added that all TESDA Regional, Provincial, and District Offices each need a training arm in order to respond whenever a calamity occurs in their jurisdiction.

“We have to act immediately when disasters occur in our areas and identify what appropriate services we can provide the calamity-affected residents,” he added.
