In celebration of Labor Day 2019, the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA)- Region III, together with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), and other partner agencies will be conducting the Trabaho, Negosyo, Kabuhayan (TNK) Job Fair and Business Opportunities dubbed “Pagpupugay sa Manggagawang Pilipino” at the Kingsborough International Convention Center, City of San Fernando, Pampanga on May 1.

The fair aims to link Tech-Voc graduates to employment opportunities and introduce Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programs to prospective trainees.

"We will be sending a thousand graduates of construction-related training from TESDA Region III for some opportunities to avail of decent job offerings from more than 50 employers offering more than 5,000 positions in Central Luzon.  This is in support to President Duterte's Build, Build, Build program that has been our TESDA chief, Secretary Lapeña's topmost concern," Regional Director Dan Navarro said.

Attendees can look forward to the 100 free training slots to be raffled during the event in addition to free haircuts and massage.

The said free training slots may be availed by the winners at the nearest TESDA Provincial Offices within Central Luzon and may be transferred to relatives only.

Participants will also witness skills demonstrations on coffee-making, haircutting, and candle and soap making courtesy of TESDA-RIII TVET trainers for their Barista NC II, Hairdressing NC II, and Candle and Soap-making courses.

The partner agencies that helped mount the said fair include the Departments of Trade and Industry (DTI), Public Works and Highways (DPWH), Transportation (DOTr), Finance (DOF), Budget and Management (DBM), the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA), Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA), and Clark Development Corporation (CDC).

Interested persons may inquire about TVET programs at the TESDA information booth located at the event venue.
