TULONG TRABAHO ACT PASADO NA SA SENADO

Nagpasalamat ang pamunuan ng Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) sa senado matapos na pumasa sa ikatlo at pinal na pagbasa ang Tulong Trabaho Act of 2017 na layuning makapagbigay ng libreng tech-voc training at mapaangat pa ang kalidad ng kasanayan ng mga Filipino.

Ayon kay TESDA Director General, Secretary Guiling “Gene” Mamondiong, malaki ang maitutulong ng Senate Bill No. 1431 o mas kilala sa tawag na Tulong Trabaho Act of 2017 dahil sa pamamagitan nito ay madaragdagan ang pondo ng ahensiya para sa technical at vocational trainings.

Napag-alaman na ang Senate Bill No. 1431 ay inisponsoran ni Senador Joel Villanueva na naging kahilim ng TESDA simula 2010 hanggang 2015 bago ito nahalal sa senado noong 2016 elections.

“We believe that increasing the allocation of TESDA scholarship programs will lead to greater output and productivity of workers. The measure also seeks to address the job skills mismatch of our workers”, sabi pa ni Villanueva.

Aniya, noong isang taon ay tumanggap ang TESDA ng P2.2 billion para sa Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP) at hindi ito nadagdagan ngayong taon kahit na dumami ang kumukuha ng tech-voc courses sa bansa.

Nakasaad din sa House Bill No. 1431 na aakuin ng Tulong Trabaho Fund ang mga bayarin sa ilang training programs para sa mga kuwalipikadong trainees kabilang pa dito ang karagdagang tulong pinansiyal tulad ng transportation allowance at laboratory fees.

Sa ilalim ng Tulong Trabaho bill, “the TESDA Board would approve the list of eligible applications based on the recommendation of the TESDA secretariat. The recipients of the Tulong Trabaho fund would be evaluated periodically to ensure that at least 80 percent of the beneficiaries would be certified after the training program”.

“The passage of this bill will make tech-voc accessible to all, boost our workers’ confidence to face the world of work and ensure that the youth who are ready to work hard with the right skill sets to obtain in-demand jobs”, pagtatapos ni Villanueva.
