In line with the direction and priorities of the new Administration, TESDA has crafted the TVET Reform and Development Agenda in the next six (6) years and beyond. This is embodied in the Workforce, Education and Training (WET) for Poverty Reduction Framework that is envisioned to guide TESDA in the policies, programs and strategies for the entire WET sector. This shall also guide the formulation of the next cycle plan, the National Development Plan (NTESDP), 2017-2022.

Engr. Dolores Molintas of NEDA-CAR presented the Regional Development Thrusts and Priorities.

The regional development goals of CAR focus on the regional autonomy, cultural integrity and identity, sustained economic growth, social and human development, environmental quality and sustainable use of resources and regional physical integration.
    
The regional consultation was attended by 96 participants, leaders and/or representatives from the local government units, industry groups, NGOs, sectoral groups, TVET associations, academe, and regional/provincial TESD committees.

They made up the two (2) major workshop groups, as prescribed in the program guidelines.

    A Press Conference was held in the afternoon, it was attended by 25 media men of various media outfit. The panel members were DDG Diosdado O. Padilla, ED Felicidad Zurbano and OIC – RD Genaro Ronald C. Ibay
