After successfully completing the last leg of extensive training in Gold Camp 3, 60 delegates, chosen from among the best of the best have departed for Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on September 17, 2016 to represent the Philippines in the 11th ASEAN Skills Competition.
“Para sa Diyos, Para sa Bayan, Doseng Ginto, TEAM PILIPINAS!” was the battlecry of the 22 teams (composed of 24 competitors and 19 experts/coaches) as they begin their quest for gold in 12 competition areas that include: Electrical Installation, Electronics, Graphic Design, Industrial Automation, IT Network Cabling, IT Network Systems Administration, IT Software Solution for Business, Mechanical Engineering Design CAD, Mechatronics, RAC, Web Design, and Welding.
During the send-off ceremony held September 16, 2016 at the TESDA Complex, a solemn mass was offered and messages of encouragement were given by TESDA executives.
The competition proper will be held for three days from September 24 to 26, 2016.
