More than two thousand beneficiaries of the TESDA and ABS-CBN Cebu partnership 'Halad Kapamilya' were presented during a ceremony held in St. Benedict College Cebu. The partnership with the Kapamilya network will give beneficiaries the opportunity to train in different technical skills discipline. In an emotional speech, Mr. Leo Lastimoso of ABS-CBN Cebu expressed his gratitude to TESDA and to Sec Joel.
In a separate event, almost 700 graduates received their certificates in a ceremony held in the University of Southern Philippines in Cebu. Sec Joel also led the distribution of tool kits for beneficiaries under the Special Training for Employment Program. TESDA has allocated 70 million for TESDA Cebu and a big chunk goes to scholarship.
