About 1,500 TESDA graduates received their certification in the recently held graduation ceremonies led by TESDA Director General SECRETARY JOEL VILLANUEVA and local government officials in Bohol Island State University (BISU) in the municipality of Bilar. The event was short of a reunion with BISU as Sec Joel was one of the co-sponsor of the law (with former congressman and now Bohol Governor Ed Chatto as principal author) of establishing the said higher education institution as a state university when Sec Joel was still a congressman representing Citizens’ Battle Against Corruption or CIBAC Partylist.
Aside from Governor Chatto and her wife Vice Mayor Pureza Chatto, other local officials also graced the event including former Agriculture Secretary and now 3rd District Congressman Arthur Yap, Bilar Mayor Norman Palacio, and Board Member and also Association of Public / Public Institutions in Bohol (APTIB) President Atty. Dionisio Balite. Central Visayas, particularly Region 7 is projecting to train close 15,000 beneficiaries of the Training Trabaho Program this year. Earlier that day, Sec Joel led the turnover of the tool kits for Special Training for Employment Program (STEP).
- SECRETARY JOEL VILLANUEVA
