TESDA Director General SECRETARY JOEL VILLANUEVA was the guest of honor and speaker during the province-wide H.E.A.T. - I.T. Bohol Caravan, in the municipality of Bilar. H. E. A. T. – I. T. stands for Health and Sanitation, Education and Technology, Agriculture and Food Security, Tourism and Sanitation, Information Technology and the caravan is participated by various national line agencies, provincial government offices and the private sector, which will render their programs and services to a specific town. It is the biggest convergence of services, which is an initiative of the Bohol Governor Ed Chatto’s administration. Congressman and former Agriculture Secretary Arthur Yap and several local government officials also graced the event.
Sec. Joel also led the turn-over ceremony of the programs ABOT ALAM Program from TESDA to Provincial Government of Bohol and the distribution of Special Training for Employment Program (STEP toolkits.
During his speech, Sec Joel proudly introduced Ms. Sheena Marie Eusena from Bohol who took TESDA course in Baking and Pastry and now runs her own Bakeshop that supplies baked products in the town of Sevilla and neighboring towns in the province. Ms Eusena was awarded 2012 Batang TESDA during the agency’s 18th anniversary.
