Taking off from the success of the TESDA Mobile Training Plus Bus, SECRETARY JOEL VILLANUEVA started the year with the signing of a new Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with PAGCOR on the setting up of MOBILE TRAINING LABORATORIES (MTL). PAGCOR through its Chairman and CEO Cristino “Bong” L. Naguiat, Jr. and President and COO Atty. Jorge Sarmiento signed the agreement with TESDA and handed over 50 million pesos as funding for the MTL partnership. The MTL project is a Technology-based Community Training Program (TBCTP) targeting remote communities and poorest provinces in the country.
"Our goal is to reach the underserved communities, particularly the poor provinces. This is the reason why our priority areas consist of the top 10 provinces with the highest poverty incidence….
