SECRETARY JOEL VILLANUEVA set the Agency’s directions for the coming year and stressed the realization of the transformational character of the agency during the National Directorate Conference (NDC) in TESDA Central Office. 'TESDA transforms lives,’ he often says in his public speeches based on the stories from the field stressing the importance of stories behind the statistics. Sec Joel also credited his directors and the whole TESDA leadership for the agency’s success highlighted by the constant mention in President Aquino's State of The Nation Address.
TESDA’s top leadership holds the NDC every year to review and evaluate the year’s performance for short term and long term gains and to make recommendations on policies, programs and general direction of the agency. This year’s NDC also featured the oath taking of new TESDA Board Members, newly appointed Regional Directors, Provincial Directors and officers of the agency.
