SECRETARY JOEL VILLANUEVA led the graduation ceremonies and distribution of toolkits in San Francisco, Camotes Island, Cebu where beneficiaries of TESDA’s Skills Training for Livelihood Assistance (STLA) held the first graduation of the program after Yolanda. More than 800 beneficiaries from different municipalities in Camotes Island graduated from the program.
Secretary Joel was welcomed by his good friend and former colleague in the House of Representatives, Cong. Ace Durano of the 5th District of Cebu and Mayor Aly Arquillano of San Francisco Camotes Cebu. Several local government officials from different municipalities also attended to witness the momentous event.
“Nitong mga nakaraang mga araw po na magkasama kami ni Pangulong Noynoy, parati naming pinag-uusapan kung paano pa mas lalong makakatulong ang ahensiya ng TESDA sa ating mga kababayan… Ang ating pamahalaan po lalo na ang administrasyon ni Pangulong Noy ay patuloy na lumilikha ng mga pamamaraan at oportunidad upang maging kaagapay ninyo sa inyong matuwid na pag-unlad….”
