Sec Joel Challenges Bulacan Youth To Become Everyday Heroes Secretary Joel Villanueva encouraged the youth of Bulacan to take on the challenge of becoming everyday heroes and find meaning in their existence during the “Hakbang para sa Kabataan” alay lakad as part of the province-wide Singkaban Festival celebrations. Bulacan province is home to many of our national heroes and heroine who fought against foreign conquerors, from Marcelo del Pilar, Mariano Ponce, Trinidad Tecson to the youngest general Gregorio del Pilar.
The Hakbang para sa Kabataan aimed to raise funds for the programs and projects that will support the athletes and out-of-school youth in Bulacan. It is a joint project of the Provincial Government of Bulacan (headed by Governor Wilhelmino Alvarado-Sy and Vice Governor Daniel Fernando), Bulacan Sports Council and Pag-Asa Youth Association.
