The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) and World Vision Development Foundation Inc. have extended partnership agreement to boost skills training for auto mechanics in a Memorandum of Agreement signed today by the two parties that will stretch the tie-up until March 2017.

World Vision will pour in P37.4 million over the three year period of the project. The fund will be jointly managed with TESDA to ensure the continuity of the operations of the Auto Mechanic Training Center in Tacloban City, Leyte, where the training is being conducted.

"In the training center, the trainees are given full exposure to the latest automotive technology and hands-on training. Thus, the graduates easily find jobs after graduation…. It's our contribution to the rebuilding and development of social sectors in the area."
