Gawad Kalinga (GK) founder and social entrepreneur Tony Meloto visited Sec Joel at his office in TESDA for a meeting and a possible partnership that will benefit our kababayans in the communities. GK and TESDA have been partners in many social endeavors in the past and aside from building communities all over the country, GK has tapped social entrepreneurs from around the world to help strengthen GK communities. GK will be engaging with TESDA once more for a potential livelihood and education partnership.
Mr. Tony Meloto or Tito Tony, as he is fondly called, is distinguished by his achievements in social entrepreneurship and in Gawad Kalinga. GK has now more than 2,000 communities in the country. He was declared Social Entrepreneur of the World by the World Entrepreneurship Forum in 2012.
