TESDA led by SECRETARY JOEL VILLANUEVA signed a memorandum of agreement along with Ms. Grace Tan Caktiong of the Jollibee Group Foundation, Inc., Sec. Ramon Paje of the Department of Environment of Natural Resources (DENR), and Brother Armin Luistro, FSC, Secretary of the Department of Education for the PNoy Bayanihan Project. The P2 million donation from the Jollibee Group Foundation, Inc. will help in the manufacture of armchairs for the said project. Initiated in 2011, the PNoy Bayanihan Project is a partnership of TESDA, DENR, DepED and PAGCOR that aims to convert confiscated illegally acquired logs into armchairs to be used by DepED all over the country. TESDA provides the training, certification and the production of the armchairs.
"We are happy to have the Jollibee Group Foundation on board in this initiative of helping ease the shortage of armchairs, and at the same time providing training and livelihood to TESDA graduates. This shows that Jollibee strives to give children more than just the fast food experience, but an environment that is good for their learning.”
