TWO SIGNIFICANT OCCASIONS in one grand launching for TESDA were held in Cebu with Secretary Joel Villanueva spearheading the event. The first was the Coke-TESDA Sari-Sari Store Training and Access to Resources or S3TAR which aims to empower 1,000 women retailers in Cebu province by giving them training and merchandising support. This is one of many TESDA’s Public-Private Partnership (PPP) endeavors and also part of Coke’s campaign to empower 100,000 women by 2020.

The second was the Cebu launching of the TESDA-DSWD Cash for Training Project or C4TP. The program aims to give skills training, facilitate employment and give entrepreneurship support to out-of-school youth beneficiaries all over the country.
