TESDA through its Chief SECRETARY JOEL VILLANUEVA led the awarding ceremonies of Model Employees, Loyalty Award, Perfect Attendance Awards, and honored the retirees and their legacy in the advancement of technical education and skills development in the country as part of TESDA 20th anniversary celebrations. The Loyalty Award, which is given to employees who have rendered service in TESDA for 10 to 40 years, went out to 59 employees from Central Office, 35 from the Region 4-A and 17 from the National Capital Region. Sec Joel also led the awarding of the TESDA Model Employees of the Year Awards for 2013 which were bagged by Warlito Tugade Jr. for Catergory I, Katherine Amor Zarsadias for Category II, Rizal Bautista for Category III, Dir. Carlos Flores for Category IV. Perfect Attendance Award was also given to Carmelita Corbito, Cariza Dacuma, Isidro Delos Santos, Digna Diaz, Celestino Millar, Rodrigo Palabrica, Nunilion Santos and Ma. Soledad Tamondong.

The retirees honored were Provincial Director Ceferino Narag and Executive Director Clifford Paragua. PD Narag is the provincial director of Quirino, Region II and ED Paragua was last stationed as Labor Attaché in Japan and was also assigned to handle the maritime program under the Office of the Deputy Director General for Sectoral TVET.

Sec Joel also led the oath taking ceremonies of the officers of TESDA Association of Concerned Employees (ACE) – Central Office with TESDA-CO President Rene Giron administering the association for a second term. President Giron also gave a report on the accomplishments of the organization under his term.
