TESDA under Secretary Joel Villanueva's leadership launched a partnership with My Shelter Foundation headed by Mr. Illac Diaz to light about 400 households in selected areas in fourth, fifth and sixth class municipalities by November 30 this year. The Green Pavilion was also launched to serve as a living classroom for the trainees in green technology. US Ambassador Harry Thomas, Jr. served as the guest of honor during the event.
"The project is a perfect partnership using the agency's expertise in tech-voc training to help promote green technology and help uplift the lives of the poor through cheap, if not free, light... We look forward to continuing partnerships in green technologies with My Shelter Foundation, the US Embassy, and other partners from the private sector as we affirm our hope for a sustainable future for us and our one and only Planet Earth"
