POSITION: SUPERVISING TECHNICAL EDUCATION AND SKILLS DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST (RE-OPEN)

SALARY: SG-22 (PhP 74,836.00) PERA: P2,000.00

THE HIREE WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FOLLOWING:

20 % - - Assists in supervising the development/review/updating of Competency Standards (CS)/ Qualifications/ Training Regulations (TRs) for prioritized qualifications in the different priority sectors in collaboration with industry bodies, academe, labor, national government and other relevant stakeholders by sectoral focal to ensure quality-assured TVET Programs. - Assists in supervising the establishment of system on engaging of technical experts endorsed by industry associations/workers’ association, academe and national government agencies through the Partnership and Linkages Office for the development, review, updating of Competency Standards, Qualifications, Training Regulations (TRs) by sector. - Leads in the benchmarking and comparability of Philippine Competency Standards with other countries to ensure the development of globally competitive workforce. - Maintains, monitors, and provides TRs, and Quality Procedures Manual relevant to qualifications and standards development to ensure quality-assured TVET programs. - Assists in supervising the monitoring and evaluation of programs and projects implemented to ensure that the programs/projects are on track and able to anticipate/address problems. 20 % - Formulates, reviews, and recommends improvement of policies relevant to Training Regulations (TRs) development to ensure efficient and effective implementation of TVET programs. 10 % - - Establishes and maintains linkage with partners/stakeholders through collaborative efforts related to the development and implementation of CS/TRs. - Provides technical assistance to partners/stakeholders by rendering advice and relevant information as requested. 20 % - - Assists in preparing the Division’s Commitment and Review Form by recommending work distribution and scheduling of programs or activities to ensure alignment with the Office mandates, priorities, and deliverables. - Assists in coordinating and monitoring the operations of the Division by tracking the progress of work/deliverables and reviewing the outputs of the staff to ensure the accomplishment of deliverables in accordance with targets and standards. - Assists in identifying the staff’s developmental needs by discussing their performance with the staff and recommending appropriate intervention/s to ensure that they meet current and future job roles. 10 % - Ensures the effective implementation of TESDA Quality Systems on training regulations development towards its continuous improvement and pursuant to ISO 9001:2015 standard requirements through consistent adherence to quality procedures and systems. 10 % - - Assists in supervising the maintenance of registry of qualifications according to PQF by ensuring that the Qualification Register in updated of professional, skilled and other recognized qualifications. - Assists in the conceptualization of PQF related projects through research, advocacy and promotion of lifelong learning and implement the PDF. 10 % - Performs other related tasks that may be assigned from time to time.

  • Copy of previous appointment for TESDA applicants or applicants from other government agencies;
  • List of at least five (5) references with complete contact details and email addresses for the following categories:
    • Superior
    • Peers
    • Subordinates (if applicable)
    • Clients (if applicable)
  • Certified true copy of transcript of records/diploma;
  • Authenticated copy of Eligibility by CSC or PRC;
  • Awards related to Performance (proof of evidences in the form of citation, medal, plaque, for awards/rewards received) (if applicable);
  • Expert Services (Resource Person/Speaker/Moderator/Panelist) (if applicable); and
  • Committees/ TWGs Participation (proof of evidences in the form of memorandum, office order, and/or certification/certificates) (if applicable)
