More Filipinos can now access free digital, entrepreneurship, and artificial intelligence (Al) training opportunities offered online by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) together with UNESCO-UNEVOC and the HP Foundation through UNESCO's Global Skills Academy.
Under the new partnership, selected courses from HP Foundation's HP LIFE Program have now been available in the TESDA Online Program (TOP), helping learners strengthen industry-relevant ICT, entrepreneurship, and Al skills for better employment and livelihood opportunities.
TESDA Secretary Kiko Benitez highlighted the importance of equipping Filipinos with future-ready skills that respond to the rapidly evolving demands of the digital economy.
"As industries continue to transform through technology and innovation, it is important that Filipinos are equipped with the skills needed to remain competitive and adaptable in the future of work. Gamit ang e-TESDA, mas mapapalawak natin ang access sa dekalidad na training," Sec. Kiko said.
HP LIFE is a free business and digital skills training program of the HP Foundation that offers more than 30 online courses covering topics such as artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship, marketing, communication, finance, and business operations.
Among the offerings are courses introducing learners to Al concepts, responsible Al use, and practical applications of Al in business and everyday work settings. These courses aim to help learners build foundational competencies that are becoming increasingly essential across industries.
The TOP, accessible through e-tesda.gov.ph, serves as the national e-learning platform providing free and flexible technical education and skills training to Filipinos anytime and anywhere. Once integrated, the HP LIFE courses are expected to further enrich TESDA's online learning ecosystem by expanding access to in-demand digital competencies.
The courses will also be reflected in the TESDA Skills Passport mobile app through its Skills Pathways feature.
The collaboration is facilitated through UNESCO's Global Skills Academy, a global initiative that seeks to address labor skills, and is firmly aligned with the vision of President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. to build a digitally empowered and future-ready workforce.
The initiative brings together governments, international organizations, and industry partners to support lifelong learning and advance the sustainable development goals, particularly in promoting inclusive and equitable quality education.
The Global Skills Academy aims to support 10 million youth and adults globally in building employability skills by 2029.
Libreng ICT at AI Training hatid ng TESDA, UNESCO-UNEVOC, HP Foundation para sa mas maraming Pilipino
Mas maraming Pilipino ang makatatanggap ng libreng online training sa digital, entrepreneurship at artificial intelligence (AI) na hatid ng Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), kasama ng UNESCO-UNEVOC at HP Foundation sa pamamagitan ng UNESCO Global Foundation.
Sa ilalim ng bagong kasunduan, may mga piling kurso sa HP LIFE Program ng HP Foundation ang ilalagay sa TESDA Online Program (TOP) upang palakasin ang kakayanan ng mga TVET learners sa mga skills na hinahanap ng industriya sa larangan ng ICT, entrepreneurship at AI para mabilis na makahanap ng trabaho o pagsisimula ng negosyo.
Binigyang-diin ni Secretary Kiko Benitez ang kahalagahan ng pagbibigay sa mga Pilipino ng mga skills na para sa kinabukasan at patuloy na tutugon sa nagbabagong pangangailangan ng digital economy.

Ang HP LIFE ay isang programa ng HP Foundation na nagbibigay ng libreng online na pagsasanay sa mahigit 30 kurso sa pagnenegosyo at digital skills, kabilang na ang artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship, marketing, communication, finance at business operations.
Kasama rin ang mga kurso na nagpapakilala sa mga konsepto ng AI, responsableng paggamit ng AI, praktikal na aplikasyon ng AI sa negosyo at pang-araw-araw na pagtatrabaho. Ito ang mga kurso na tutulong sa mga learners na mabuo ang mga competencies na magsisilbing pundasyon na lubhang kailangan ng lahat ng industriya.
Ang TOP na matatagpuan sa e-tesda.gov.ph, ang magsisilbing plataporma para sa libre at flexible na technical education and skills training para sa la hat ng Pilipino ano mang oras at kahit saan man. Ang mga kurso ng HP LIFE ay inaasahang mas magpapaunlad sa online learning ecosystem ng TESDA. Ang mga kurso ay matatagpuan rin sa Skills Pathways feature ng TESDA Skills Passport mobile app.
Ang kolaborasyon na sinuportahan ng UNESCO Global Skills Academy, isang pandaigdigang inisyatibo para tugunan ang labor skills gap, ay umaayon sa pangarap ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. na maging digitally-empowered at future-ready ang mga manggagawang Pilipno.
Ang inisyatibo ay naglalayong mapagsama-sama ang mga gobierno, international organizations at mga kapartner na industriya para suportahan ang lifelong learning at isulong ang mga sustainable development goals, partikular ang tungo sa kalidad na edukasyon na ingklusibo at para sa lahat.
Layunin ng Global Skills Academy na masuportahan ang pagbuo ng employable skills sa 10 milyong kabataan at may edad sa buong mundo sa taong 2029.
