“Ang TESDA ay hindi para kung kanino lang, ang TESDA ay para sa inyo, para sa ating lahat!”, the strong words spoken by TESDA Sec. Guiling A. Mamondiong during the Regional Consultation and Dialogue held Royce Hotel and Casino, Clark Field, Pampanga last October 25, 2016.

Director General Mamondiong emphasized that he wants TESDA corruption-free and scholarships and free trainings be granted to all Filipinos, especially to those living in rural areas and far to reach places.

He informed that “Barangay Kasanayan para sa Kabuhayan at Kapayapaan (BKKK)” was created, TESDA’s new project to support the poverty mitigation program of President Rodrido Roa Duterte. This aims to bring services closer to the people in every barangays all over the country.

Relative to that, he announced that he would be giving 40,000 scholarship slots for the region for November 2016 ‘til 2017.

In Central Luzon alone, 1,011 barangays (33% of the target barangays) had already profiled 28,622 individuals and had identified the top 10 preference qualifications including the following: Shielded Metal Arc Welding, Cookery, Automotive, Bread and Pastry Production, Dressmaking, Beauty Care, Food Processing, Electronic Product Assembly Servicing, Housekeeping and Electrical Installation and Maintenance.

One very important part of the program is the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement between Sec. Guiling Mamondiong and Pampanga Gov. Lilia “Nanany” G. Pineda on National Preventive Health Care Program. The objective of which is to provide better health care services to every for the people in the barangay. The program will be piloted in Pampanga and will be cascaded in the entire country.
